Scaling Exit Pass by salias Scaling Exit Pass by salias
i think this photo may be teetering on the edge of being a snapshot, but i thought the perspective and the texture of the snow were both interesting. i took this while we were scaling "Exit Pass" in the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. this is the same pass that can be seen in the distance in my last submission, "Bighorn Moutain Stream" [link]
we were all (6 people) using ice axes and climbing harnesses and were roped together while climbing this, in case someone slipped. luckily, nobody did =D (Big Grin) . this was such an amazing trip! i'm aching to do it again...

that must be a pretty cool thing to do.
i think the photo looks much more than a mere snapshot, i agree about those qualities you mentioned.
i also think you should show us more pictures of your trip or, if you didn't take more pics (which i doubt), you should have done so :P (Lick)
just because that must be a fantastic place. =) (Smile)

although, yes, this is a photo of someone you know, it's still art. don't be fooled into thinking otherwise...you're chronicling part of the human experience, and, as such, this is art. :) (Smile) it's pretty damn cool. that slope is awfully vertical. :) (Smile)
