this is the second version of this photo. i was bothered by the lens flare in my first one, so i took it out. also rotated it a bit ccw to level the horizon line. thanks for the suggestions i got.
the thing is that i've been working on this for a couple of hours now, and i'm not entirely happy with the sky just above and to the left of the sun - that's where part of the lens flare used to be. i had to do a lot of manipulation and shifting things about in order to get rid of the flare on the sun, but i got frustrated because i am having trouble getting the sky to blend back in just right. i can't even tell anymore if it is noticeable though. i also can't tell whether the sun looks unnatural (that is, whether my touchup job looks unnatural)...
if anyone wants to tell me if they can see the flaw i'm whining about, i would really really appreciate it! any other suggestions would be nice too. thanks!

i struggle with removing lens flare from time to time, and i think you did an amazing job on this one. i couldn't find the spot you were describing at first, and so then i looked at the older version of this and came back to this and STILL couldn't see it. so 2 thumbs up are in order. that's a really cool shot, too, by the way. the silhouettes of the docks make an interesting pattern, and the lampposts give it a definite flavor. i like the angle you chose with respect to the docks too. all in all, very nice.
